I love her new secretary, Olive. She’s assumed a very motherly role right off the bat, which makes me a little sad about her life. This is somebody who’s choosing to sit in the dark at the office on a weekend. No matter how much you like Peggy, those are the actions of a woman who doesn’t want to be home. Peggy’s speech to her at the end, “I have a job, I have my own office…”, is really something that Peggy wants to say to her own mother, but Peggy’s mom has bailed her out too many times to be convinced. This relationship could be beneficial for the both of them.
