Paul’s a cappella past was pretty hilarious (“I left because I had mono!”), and not only because I want to see him get in a sing-off with Andy Bernard. I may be overanalyzing, but the song Paul chooses to sing is one that is now best known for the cartoon One Froggy Evening – it’s the one the frog sings, but only when nobody is watching. This season we’ve seen Peggy burst into song in front of the mirror, and a demonstration of musical talent that Joan would prefer be kept private. And who knows if Paul would have sang anything at all had he not been high? In their own way, they’re all sort of like Michigan J. Frog.
