Mad Men

Mad Men Roundtable Season 3, “My Old Kentucky Home”

MYNDI

Well, it’s just party, party, party on Mad Men this week!  Except at the Draper House.  That place was a bit of a bummer.  I was only worried about Carla in the sense that I thought she might resign from her job due to Gene being a crotchety old guy who thinks she’s his old maid, Viola.  I didn’t ever really see him hurting anyone.  I was a little confused by Sally’s actions at first; not sure why she was stealing, until Betty was so dismissive of her walking backwards upstairs from the living room.  That didn’t even get a smile or a pat on the head.  Sally’s headed down a dark path if everyone keeps ignoring her.  And it also never occurred to me that Grandpa was going to be inappropriate with her, other than his selected reading material.  Unfortunately, he’s only going to get sicker, and Sally’s heart will most certainly be broken.  As he said, “Just wait; all hell’s gonna break loose.”
