Over at the office, Peggy had the line of episode: “I’m Peggy Olson, and I want to smoke some marijuana.” It was interesting to find out about the way Paul Kinsey is hiding his Jersey roots; trying so hard to put on airs to which he was not born. Sound familiar? The only thing that separates Don Draper from everyone else is that he has “no people”, so no one can really come along (well, except his now-dead brother) and blow his cover, like Jeffery Graves did for Paul. Sure, Pete could go there again, but he tried and failed to play the trump card, so a weasel like him won’t go back to that well anytime soon.
