Finally, stupid Greg forces Joan to play the accordion in front of everybody. Joan wants to be a perfect hostess, and not a performing monkey. She puts on a brave face, but by the end of her song, you can see that she is never going to love Greg again, if she ever did in the first place. I find it interesting that she was so uncomfortable – I think Joan wants people to look at her, not to watch her. If that makes sense. All I know is that every one of her scenes makes me so sad this season. (By the way, there were really a lot of musical numbers in this episode. Very strange.)
