This was probably the funniest episode of the season so far, with HoHo’s increasingly bizarre demands. And the continuing ravages suffered by Lane’s ant farm? That’s funny stuff. Of course, it may also be the darkest episode of the season too, with poor Sally learning some harsh lessons. I’m just going to add Sally Draper to the list of characters on this show who consistently break my heart. So basically that list now includes everybody but Jane. And the scene with Gene’s war mementos was terrific. I love the line, “Bobby, that’s a dead man’s hat!” It would have been interesting to see Don deal with Gene’s continuing attempts to undercut him as an authority figure.
