We learn that Horace Sr. (a friend of Bert Cooper’s) thinks this idea his son has is just as insane as everyone else does, but encourages Sterling Cooper to take his money anyway. He wants him to fail and perhaps see that his privileged life doesn’t mean anything without hard work. It’s really all a commentary on spoiled brats, which is so fitting for 2009. So, last week we met Paris Hilton’s grandpa, and this week we get an allegory on the perils of trust fund babies. What does Matthew Weiner have against Young Hollywood? Ho Ho really just seems to be seeking Dad’s approval, though, which brings us back full circle.
