I’m trying to decide how I feel about Don’s engagement. Though I love that the announcement at work inadvertently referenced two of my favorite shows. Roger’s “Who the hell is Miss Calvet?” made me think of Sawyer’s famous “Who the hell is Hugo?” on Lost. And then Pete Campbell pulled the Emily Gilmore “You don’t congratulate the bride – you wish the bride ‘best wishes’” lecture. I’ll go on record as liking Meghan a whole lot, but this is so sudden and there are children involved. Yes, Don is dippy-happy at the end, but look at the flashback in Season Two when he tells Anna about this Betty that he’s been seeing. This doesn’t look that much different.
