Peggy gets her “Hell Yeah!” moment this week when she and Ken bring in the Topaz account all by themselves. She does good work, but she’s not usually one to pitch directly to the clients. Peggy works on the presentation and comes in fully prepared. Here, she went in without an idea of what the clients wanted, and she worked through the process right in front of them. That’s not how she works, but she nailed it. If you look at how far Peggy has come over the course of the series, it’s really amazing. I wonder if, when all is said and done, Mad Men is ultimately going to be Peggy’s story.
