Running Wilde – FX started airing the unseen episodes of Will Arnett’s cancelled series. This week’s episode boasted special guest star Rob Corddry (Childrens Hospital) as a newly sober friend of Steve and Fa’ad’s. The plot was a little traditional, but as usual, it’s the performances that sold it. Will and Peter Serafinowicz are fantastic together – we would not mind one bit if the two of them only played flaky rich guys from now on. And David Cross’ Andy (Emmy’s ex) was really a standout this time. Since Emmy dumped him, he really hit bottom. He’s living in Steve’s treehouse and snatching food from windows. It’s like he’s both feral and incompetent at the same time. It’s really too bad that Running Wilde was cancelled so quickly – even when the scripts don’t quite come together, there’s so much chemistry in the group. It’s just funny to watch them interact.
