Breakout Kings – A&E’s drama has really been fun to watch this season, and it’s now the home of our favorite dysfunctional couple. Yes, this week’s episode blended action and humor quite nicely (our favorite lines – Ray: “Go ahead and enjoy your marijuana as if we were never here”, and Shea’s “Is it just me, or are white people getting faster?”), but it’s the bizarre relationship between Lloyd the con and the Kings’ in-house support staff Julianne that really tickled us. Obviously, this can’t be a normal relationship since Lloyd is a behaviorist serving 25 years for an as yet unrevealed crime, and Julianne is the severely agoraphobic woman who provides research and data for Ray and Charlie while they’re in the field. Sure, we knew that Lloyd had a little thing for her, but it’s part of Lloyd’s overall creepiness that he’s attracted to every woman, and can tell them exactly what events in his past have led to his appreciation of them. But over the last couple weeks, we’ve seen that Lloyd has a full-fledged crush. It’s kind of adorable, even though we know it’s doomed, and it cements Lloyd Lowery as one of our favorite characters.
