–Farewell, Race Bannon. The kids playing with his body is a very weird kind of dark humor that they don’t use too often. It amuses me a lot more than it probably should, though.
“But you? You’re nothing like Richard. You’re alive. You curse, you sweat, you twitch, you have passion.” – Sally Impossible
Doc tries to come up with some ideas in his new capacity as a consultant, and sneaks a pill when he thinks nobody is looking. Impossible stretches around the corner and tries to check out Doc’s plans and reminds him that they really need that urine sample. When he leaves, Sally shows up with a beaker of her own urine for Doc. Back at the Compound, Brock and the boys watch Race’s film about the Goliath Compound. We learn that Richard Impossible invented it for use in Vietnam, but it was rejected. If injected, it alters the subject’s metabolism, turning them into a living time bomb within 24 hours. The bigger the subject, the bigger the blast. The film also warns that the serum can be absorbed through the skin. Brock notices the canister is cracked from when it hit Hank. The film says that subjects will appear flushed and have an abnormally large appetite. Hank has a red face and gulps down popcorn by the fistful. Back to Impossible Industries, Doc and Sally share a drink, as she complains about her marriage, finally leaning in to kiss Doc. But as she does so, her skin disappears.
