–The last couple of seasons have started with massive changes to the status quo, but other than 21 commanding the cocoon, this is business as usual. Well, mostly usual. We still have Sgt. Hatred as the Venture bodyguard. At the end of last season, we didn’t know for sure whether 21 survived the fight with Monstroso – now we know both he and Brock walked away, so I’m calling Monstroso the loser of that fight. It’s jarring to see Hank firing the gun mounted on the back of the jeep, but Hatred has been pushing him in that direction. It’s a nice touch with the Pupae Twins shedding their outer shells to become butterflies. Or, you know, butterfly-clad midgets. Also, it should be noted that Doc Venture doesn’t have any lines in this episode. The same thing happened in the Season Three premiere. We don’t know what injury he suffered at this point, but it must be kind of bad if Hatred is taking him to a real hospital.
