Mad Men Roundtable – “The Good News”

Motives aside, it was great to see how much fun they had together.  From their drunken viewing of Gamera (“You know what’s going on here?  Handjobs!”) to their raucous dinner (I don’t think any of us expected Lane to place a steak on his crotch.), it was like a low-budget version of one of Don’s evenings with Roger.  Seeing them at the club was a hoot, especially their obvious delight at being singled out by the comedian.  “We’re not homosexuals!  We’re divorced!”  It’s interesting that Lane identifies himself as being divorced, since he’s really just in the doghouse.  Either he was caught up in Don’s spell, or things in the Pryce family are even worse than we thought.
