Dancing with the Stars – Season 11, Performance Week 3

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas (19/30) – So for their dance, Mark is a homeless person trying to get Bristol’s attention. Wait, is Mark making a subtle comment about Republican views on spending for social programs? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean somebody won’t complain about it tomorrow. We also see a clip of Bristol talking about abstinence, and the psychological wounds that her child will exhibit later in life continue to grow. Damn, their dance actually starts with Hobo Mark holding a “Will Dance for Food” sign. But then they strip off their bulky coats for traditional ballroom outfits. Their dance is a weird mix of accomplished and awkward. Sometimes it flows really well, and sometimes her feet just kind of stick too long, like there’s gum on the bottom or something. Carrie Ann calls her movement quality beautiful, but says the performance was lacking. Len says he told her to take a chance last week, and she did, but he didn’t like it. Bruno says her execution is clean but the emotion is lacking. He tries to demonstrate and almost strikes Len. Remember, these guys do four shows a week together on two continents! She gets a 19.
