DON: Did you like any of the Star Wars movies, Ep 1-3?
MARK: Ep 1 was my least favorite, for all the obvious reasons. I actually sort of liked Ep 3 though, and I thought Clone Wars was pretty good. The big problem with Ep 1, was they thought we actually cared about interstellar economic embargoes. Um, no, we want to see Jedi’s kicking butt, and lightsabers, and droids, and star destroyers.
BILL: I loved Ep 4 and Ep 5. And Ep 6 was okay, I guess. But Ep 1-3 were appalling. I think if I’d seen Episodes 1-3 thirty years ago, I’d have been impressed with the effects, but wouldn’t have become a fan, because those three movies have no soul, no spark. And we *know* those people can act really well in other films — but not here? Bah.
